Cozy Amigurumi Granny Pattern

 

Materials

  • Worsted weight yarn (Size 4):
    • Skin tone color (for face and hands)
    • Grey or white (for hair)
    • Color A (for dress/main outfit) - suggested: floral print or pastel

Legs (make 2)

With Color A (dress color) or Color B for shoes/slippers:

If making shoes/slippers, switch to dress color (Color A) here:

Add stuffing to feet and upper legs, leaving top part unstuffed for easier attachment.

Hair/Bun

With grey or white yarn:

Apron (optional)

With Color B: Row 1: Ch 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (14 sc), turn Row 2-12: Ch 1, sc in each st across (14 sc), turn

For ties: Row 1: Ch 35, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Repeat for second tie.

Sew ties to top corners of apron.

Glasses (optional)

With black yarn or thin wire: Make two small circles for lenses (you can crochet around a small circular object for shape). Connect with a small bridge and add temple arms.

Assembly

  1. Sew head to body.
  2. Attach arms to sides of body at approximately round 8-9.
  3. Attach legs to bottom of body.
  4. Sew hair cap onto head, positioning as desired.
  5. Create a bun by making a pom-pom with grey/white yarn and attaching to back of hair cap.
  6. Add facial features:
    • If not using safety eyes, embroider eyes with black yarn
    • Add small pink circles for cheeks with pink yarn
    • Embroider a small smile with black yarn
    • Add glasses if desired
  7. Attach apron to front of body.
  8. Add any additional details like a small crocheted purse, glasses chain, etc.
